- Test the process safely before connecting it to live equipment or customers.
The broader pattern is AI reasoning, software tools, equipment, measurement and then another round of analysis. It could eventually matter in laboratories, manufacturing, agriculture, logistics, robotics and engineering. Those are wider possibilities, not claims about current Anthropic projects.

The important transition may not be smarter chatbots. It may be AI gradually acquiring more ways to act on the world it is reasoning about. That is when permissions, monitoring, human approval and physical containment become engineering requirements rather than paperwork.
